Kiki is a 13-year old witch who flies away from home on her broomstick to start her own small business. on th epath to sucess in a strange new place, kiki must learn to trust her magical powers and find the determination to change a community for the better.

Based on a series of books by Eiko Kadono and later adapted into a hit anime film by Hayao Miyazaki, Theatre Battery’s production was the first American production of Jessica Siân’s live theatre adaptation.

Kiki’s Delivery Service was Theatre Battery’s first production made with the express intention of playing to youth and family audiences in King County.

In connection with the themes of the play, Theatre Battery additionally lead a community engagement effort surrounding the play’s portrayal of an immigration experience and youth leadership.
